As part of Kardan University’s commitment to achieving U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs), especially SDG 4: Quality Education, Qais Mohammadi, the Academic Administrator for the Department of Economics at Kardan University, presented his paper on “The Effectiveness of Experiential Learning in Management Sciences” at the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) annual conference on April 16, 2021.
In his presentation, Mr. Mohammadi shed light on the usefulness of experiential learning in business studies. He has been using a specific approach of experiential learning he has designed at Kardan University for the past few years. This presentation, based on his research, shows that the approach is highly effective in student learning. The students exposed to experiential learning during one semester indicated significant improvement compared to the students who were not.
The conference was virtually launched from April 13 – 16, 2021, to create a platform for IACBE regional assemblies’ members to meet with each other for professional development and share best practices in business education. The IACBE is organized into eleven regional assemblies that are regional associations of the IACBE’s membership.
IACBE is an accreditation body based in the U.S. It was founded in 1997 in response to the expressed needs of higher education administrators, business program leaders, and faculty who wanted an accreditation process that was mission-driven and outcomes-based. The IACBE has hundreds of member institutions with campuses worldwide and has accredited more than 1,800 business and business-related programs worldwide. Kardan University’s BBA and MBA programs are accredited by this prestigious council.
