Kardan University's Chief Operating Officer Attends the Inaugural SDSN Afghanistan Leadership Council Meeting

At the inaugural meeting of the Leadership Council of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network  (SDSN) Afghanistan

Mirwais Nahzat, Kardan University's Chief Operating Officer, attended the inaugural meeting of the Leadership Council of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network  (SDSN) Afghanistan on Wednesday, October 7, 2020.  The Leadership Council of SDSN advances the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through awareness and engagement initiatives, Teach Afghanistan, and providing solutions towards the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Afghanistan SDGs.

The SDSN Council brings together experts, leaders, and decision-makers from across the public, private, and civil society institutions to lay the groundwork for an integrated, holistic, and cohesive approach towards achieving Afghanistan's sustainability objectives. During the meeting, the participants highlighted the need for improved coordination on the delivery of SDG programs, including a greater emphasis on SDGs financing, increased engagement of universities in advancing the SDGs, and establishing partnerships with leading national and international organizations to achieve these ambitious objectives.
