Kardan University, in collaboration with Kabul Municipality, organized an environmental protection campaign under the slogan "A Healthy Environment, A Healthy Community." This initiative took place in the fourth district of Kabul and involved the participation of over 60 faculty members, students, and staff from the Cleaning Department of the Municipality.

The primary objective of the campaign was to enhance public awareness regarding the significance of environmental protection, promote a culture of cleanliness within the urban setting, and reinforce a sense of social responsibility among youth and other community members.

The program commenced with speeches delivered by representatives from both Kardan University and the Cleaning Department, who articulated the objectives and importance of the campaign. Subsequently, participants engaged in cleaning various areas within the fourth district. Officials from Kabul Municipality expressed appreciation for Kardan University’s collaboration in this endeavor, recognizing it as a model of effective partnership between educational institutions and governmental agencies aimed at improving the environmental conditions in the capital.

Moreover, representatives from Kardan University highlighted that this campaign marks the initial step in a series of awareness-raising and practical initiatives focused on environmental protection, indicating a commitment to continued efforts in this domain.

Mr. Sarwar Hashemi, a professor in the Journalism Department at Kardan University, emphasized the campaign's role in motivating other citizens, stating: "The environmental cleanup initiative plays a crucial and inspirational role in enhancing awareness and motivating citizens to preserve the environment. Such programs extend beyond mere waste collection; they convey a clear message that we all share responsibility for our environment. These campaigns provide positive role models, foster public participation, and contribute to shifting mindsets and institutionalizing a culture of cleanliness within the community."

Additionally, Mr. Mohammad Idris Mohammadi, a member of Kardan University's volunteer team, remarked: "The active involvement of faculty, students, and staff from urban institutions in this program exemplifies a culture of participation and social solidarity that can serve as a model for the community. This campaign not only contributed to improving environmental conditions but also instilled fundamental values of urban living, including adherence to municipal regulations, maintenance of public order, and the development of a collaborative and empathetic community spirit."
