Kardan University’s leadership invited UN Volunteer’s (UNV) Country Coordinator, Mr. Aimal Feroz Zalland, on Monday, September 28, 2020, to discuss joint work opportunities, technical support, and other areas of cooperation for implementing the SDGs in the community.
Mr. Zalland mentioned that UNV would invite international SDGs experts speakers to attend Kardan University’s national SDGs conferences and symposiums and provide the necessary awareness about SDGs to participating representatives from different sectors.
“Volunteerism is of paramount importance in promoting the culture of sustainability in achieving the SDGs in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, we will share national and international joint work volunteer activities with Kardan University’s students, alumni, research department, and staff,” said Mr. Zalland.
Mr. Mirwais Nahzat, the university’s Chief Operating Officer, stated, “sustainability is our foremost priority at Kardan University, and we will remain firmly dedicated to integrating sustainability systematically in everything we do at the university.”
