Ismail Miakhail, General Director of Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA) and Kardan University Leadership, met on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Parwan-e-Du Campus.
Mr. Mirwais Nahzat, Chief Operating Officer, Kardan University, while welcoming the delegation, praised the new leadership for their efforts towards developing RTA and improving the quality of their services. He stated, “RTA is a source of pride for all of us, and since the designation of its new leadership, we have become more hopeful for positive changes to be seen in this entity.”
RTA’s General Director said, “our objective is that RTA should not be limited to news. We strive to motivate, create hope, and concentrate on covering a wide range of topics of national interest.” He further added, “we have come to know that Kardan University is one of the leading educational institutions in terms of Press Research and Journalism.”
Furthermore, the two sides discussed working on joint initiatives for practical cooperation between the two organizations by providing training and employment opportunities for students and the employees of the two entities. They also agreed on signing an MoU in the near future.
Dr. Ahmad Khalid Hatam, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Muhammad Sediq Zaliq, Academic Administrator, Journalism Department, were also present at the meeting.
In the end, the visiting delegation toured Kardan University’s Journalism Studio, Library, and other divisions of the Parwan-e-Du Campus.
