Kardan University VIS Moot Team Participates in an Arbitration Training Program

Members of Kardan University's VIS Moot Team participated in a two-day training session in preparation for the upcoming 6th Afghanistan National Willem C. VIS International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The event was organized on August 1st - 2nd, 2019, by Afghanistan VIS Alumni Network (AVAN) for twelve teams participating from both private and public universities of the country.

The program was sponsored by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) hosted by Afghanistan International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). It covered topics such as arbitration, the practice in Afghanistan, VIS Moot, problem analysis, few substantive and procedural laws, legal research, legal writing, and pleading skills.

Overall, the training program was described to be an effective effort as participating teams gained fruitful insights in commercial arbitration and practice of law in Afghanistan.
