A Seminar on Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Kardan University’s CISCO Lab is conducting a seminar on Virtual Private Network (VPN), on July 14, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, to the general public and outreached beyond Kardan University’s campus, in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.

The seminar will be delivered online using Zoom Application by qualified Computer Science Lecturer, Mr. Zabiullah Atal. Anyone with a BCS background can join the seminar.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network. It enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network.

The followings are the main objectives of this training;
1. To introduce students to traditional router-based
Networks.
2. To familiarize students with VPN-based Networks.
3. To understand types/groups of VPN.
4. To kill up in VPN Design Consideration.

By the end of the seminar, the students would be able to gain the following skills:

1. Configuration demo of one of the types of VPN.
2. After attending this seminar, the participants will be
able to describe and do the following:

a. Describe a traditional router-based network.
b. Demonstrate VPN based Network.
c. Elaborate types/groups of VPN.
d. Explain VPN Design Consideration.
e. Use the lab for VPN Practice.
f. Configuration demo of one of the types of VPN.
