The Faculty of Economics at Kardan University is organizing a one-day session on the topic of Principles of Operations in the Islamic Banking which is aimed at highlighting major concepts and guidelines regarding the operational responsibilities of those involved in the Islamic Banking sector.

The session will be delivered by Dr. Bakht Rahman Osmani who has a doctorate in Islamic Banking and Finance from the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM). Dr. Osmani is currently working as a Business Development Advisor for Islamic Bank of Afghanistan. He has obtained his Bachelor's in Qur'an and Sunnah and then Master’s is Islamic Jurisprudence “Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh” from IIUM in 2006 and 2012 respectively. He has been a visiting lecturer at several international academic institutions including the International Academy for Islamic Studies, Malaysia, and International Islamic University Malaysia.

Dr. Osmani has worked as an Academic Researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Management at IIUM and has been an Editorial Assistant for “Journal of Islam in Asia”. He has numerous publications such as “The Concept of the Maintenance in Theory and Practice "AITAB as a model,” 2018, “The Effect of the Custom in Contemporary Lease Contract and its Application,” 2017 and “Sukuk Al-Murabaha as Operating in Malaysian Financial Institution: Critical Juristic Study,” 2018.
