About the Event
Kardan University will organize the Second Annual Conference on Higher Education Development in Afghanistan, focusing on student access to finance, on March 31, 2022. Envisaged as a platform for sharing, learning and also of planning, the event will gather national education coalitions, representatives from academia, development partners, researchers, policymakers, government agencies, financial institutions, and students to assess student access to education, exchange experiences, and reimagine the ways forward given the implications on the financing of education.
Participants
The primary aim of the ACHEDA-2022 is to bring together education leaders, researchers, and key actors to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Education Financing. It also provides a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, opportunities, challenges, and solutions adopted in education financing.

Expected Outcome
The lessons to be learned from the conference will serve as valuable input to scale up and better organize advocacy actions to protect education budgets, ensuring that education is part of recovery programs and equitable and inclusive quality education systems are in place. Furthermore, the expected outcome is to develop an applicable education financing model, enhancing student access to higher education and directly contributing towards the UN SDG 4: Quality Education.

Submission Guidelines
1. Abstracts should be between 300 and 500 words and must include the main points covered in the article: theories, methodology, and findings.
2. Papers should be between 6000 and 8000 words.
3. Include 4 to 7 keywords in alphabetical order.
4. Your submission should have a full name written with affiliation.
5. Reference should conform to APA referencing style.

Publication Ethics
1. The submission should be the original work of the authors and must not be published elsewhere; submissions with plagiarized content and copyright issue will be rejected outrightly.
2. By sending the submissions, the author(s) agree to assign exclusive copyright in work to the editorial team. Editorial board shall be entitled to, without limitation, publish and reproduce the submission (or part (s) thereof) in any manner it sees fit (with due acknowledgment to author) subject to the doctrine of fair use as enumerated under the Copyright Act of 1988.
3. The editors reserve the right to edit the submissions (part(s) thereof) for publication without permission from of further notice to the author.
4. After initial screening, the short-listed submissions will present to the Research Grant Selection Committee (RGSC).
5. Final research grant recipients will be informed via email about the award of the grant and the future proceedings.

November 25, 2021: Submission of first drafts of the papers
December 20, 2021: Submission of final papers
