Q. Is every student allowed to participate in the Convocation Ceremony?

Q. Where should I register for the graduation?
A. Master’s graduates should visit the School of Graduate Studies (MBA Campus) for registration and meet Mr. Najeebullah Ahmadi or Mr. Waheedullah Ibrahimkhail.
Bachelor’s graduates should visit the Taimani campus for registration and meet Mr. Omar Azizi or Mr. Imran Aminyar.
Q. Is there any fee for the graduation ceremony?
A. Yes, Registration fee for Master’s students is AFN. 2000 and for Bachelor’s it’s AFN. 1500
Q. Can I invite my friends or family members to the event?
A. (One guest as of now), and will update if more guests are allowed to register considering the availability of space at the graduation venue.
Q. How should I dress for the graduation event?
A.
Both male and female graduates should have formal attire ideally black or blue.
Q. When will I obtain the special dress (regalia) for the event?
A. Students will be contacted to receive Convocation ID and Regalia on the day of Rehearsal.
Q. Do I have to pay for the regalia?
A. There is no additional fee for the regalia. The graduation registration fee includes the regalia.
Q. Can I bring a camera with me?
A. Graduates will be instructed about photography on rehearsal and graduation days.
Graduates and guests are not allowed to take their cameras to the graduation hall.
The management of Kardan University will arrange a professional photographer.
Graduates will get their individual and group photos within two weeks after the event.
Q. Who will be awarded gold medals?
A. Following are the criteria for obtaining a gold medal:
- Achieving a CGPA of 4.0
- One gold medal is awarded per term
- In case two or more graduates are with similar CGPA, the gold medal will be awarded to the highest marks scorer
- Students who have appeared in supplementary examination, rejoined from other terms, or have transferred from other universities are not eligible for gold medals
- The candidate should have completed their graduate or undergraduate studies within the stipulated time frame i.e. bachelor’s within four years, master’s (same field) within two years and master’s (different field) within two and half years.
