Kardan University Participates in the Global Education Summit: Financing GPE 2021-2025

Kardan University’s sustainability Engagement Coordinator, Mr. Mohammad Shams Formuly, participated in the Global Education Summit: Financing GPE 2021-2025 from July 28 to 29, 2021. The Global Education Summit: Financing GPE 2021-2025 was a key moment for the global community to come together and support quality education for all children, collaborate for SDG 4 best practices, review comparative approaches, and develop best practices to tackling SDG 4: Quality Education.

In the summit, higher education leaders, experts, and representatives discussed the important themes of what can be concretely transformed to improve education at the individual and systems level, gender equality in and through education, and education’s impact on sustainability.

At the summit, world leaders made 5-year pledges to support GPE's work and help transform education systems in up to 90 countries and territories. GPE's "Raise Your Hand" financing campaign aimed at raising at least US$5 billion over five years to support education systems in up to 90 countries and territories, where 80% of the world's out-of-school children live, including Afghanistan.
