The Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Testing Lab of Kardan University is conducting a session on the 'SIEVE Analysis Test' on Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, to help engineering students gain practical knowledge and insight on SIEVE Analysis testing, and more.

The session's focus will be on the introduction of testing (Sieve Analysis), particle size analysis and measurement, laboratory techniques, determining the size range, and the average or mean size of the particles in a powder or liquid sample.

Particle size analysis is part of Particle Science, and its determination is carried out generally in particle technology laboratories. The particle size can have considerable importance in several industries, including the chemical, mining, forestry, agriculture, and aggregate industries:

Outcomes of the test:
• Determining the grading
• Soil Classification
• Size and fine aggregate
• The grain size of soil
• Gradation of the soil
