Nik Mohammad
Nik Mohammad comes from a marginalized family background who lost his father at a young age. He is a student of Imam Bukhari Orphanage and a full scholarship recipient from Kardan University to complete his bachelor’s degree. Mohammad never imagined that he would complete his higher education; however, his great ambitions helped him turn it into reality. By going through a competitive and transparent process, he won a fully-funded scholarship from Kardan University and is now a first-semester student of bachelor’s in Law at the same institution.
Since childhood, Mohammad dreamed of becoming a professional lawyer to serve his people and country. As a Law student in the country’s most recognized academic institution, he is excited about having this unique opportunity to achieve his childhood dream by becoming a competent lawyer. Mohammad actively participates in several student clubs, moot court, academic seminars, and conferences. He believes that Kardan University has immensely helped him build the confidence and courage to have a positive impact in his community, and ultimately the country.

Elham Hamidi
Elham Hamidi is an undergraduate student of Journalism and Mass Communications at Kardan University. Introduced by the Imam Bukhari Orphanage, Elham is the recipient of a full scholarship from Kardan University to pursue his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. He believes that Kardan University has provided him an excellent learning opportunity to thrive both academically and professionally.
Despite the many economic challenges he went through, he has never given up on his studies. He had lost his parents when he was very young. Elham had the dream of becoming a professional journalist and a public speaker to serve his people by providing an accurate and biased-free report about the socio-economic, political, and cultural affairs in Afghanistan and beyond. To learn about the latest media technologies and practice recording, photography, videography, and other media-related activities, he attends Kardan Studio regularly.

Mohammad Yasin Kakar
Mohammad Yasin Kakar is a 4th-semester law student and winner of a fully-funded scholarship from Kardan University. Being introduced by the Imam Bukhari Orphanage, he is one of the financial aid beneficiaries designed for financially disadvantaged students and low-income families. Mr. Kakar is a topper in his batch with an impressive academic background. He represents his class and serves as a bridge between the students and the university’s administration and academic departments.
He was introduced to Imam Bukhari Orphanage as an orphan to get the support to continue his education. While studying at Imam Bukhari Orphanage, he learned essential computer programs, public speaking skills, Islamic studies, and Dari literature. Mr. Kakar served as a Dari Literature Teacher at Imam Bukhari Orphanage, where he helped orphans with their studies, organized events, and participated in voluntary activities. Kakar appreciates Kardan University’s decision to assist students coming from low-income families and not left behind from getting a higher education.
