Wajiha Timori

Wajiha Timori is an Associate Attorney at Kakar Advocates LLC, law firm based in Kabul. Ms. Timori assists the firm in Legislative Drafting, providing legal advice in Employment & Labor Law, Public Procurement, Civil Law, Land Development, and Mining and Extractive Affairs.

Ms. Timori also provides national and international clients with legal briefs on the current legislation of the country. She also conducts extensive case-related research relevant to law and regulations and interprets contracts and other legal documents.

Ms. Timori has worked at TAPI Coordination Office of the Ministry of Mines & Petroleum as a Senior Legal Specialist (Land Acquisition). During this tenure, she led land expropriation portfolio and contributed to the development of legal charter, including but not limited to, lenders’ requirements, international standards and its alignment.
She was a member of the Investigation Committee of the Directorate of Violence Against Women at the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), where she conducted various investigations related to cases on civil and criminal issues.
Ms. Timori has been awarded the Afghanistan Independent Bar Association (AIBA) membership, contributed to the Afghanistan chapter of Chambers & Partners Employment Global Legal Guide, and attended the Mining Governance conference in India.
