Hadeia Amiry

At the age of 25, Hadeia Amiry is the youngest ever female Afghan Diplomat who is appointed as Political and Consular Officer at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, D.C. Hadeia is an influential individual who has both academic and leadership achievements. Hadeia has a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy. She has a BBA degree from Kardan University and a bachelor's in English Language and Literature from Kabul University.

As a women activist, Ms. Amiry has worked with governmental and non-governmental organizations for the past 7 years. Prior to her diplomatic posting, she worked as an economic officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan. She has won several awards and published articles for local and international magazines mainly on topics of women in elections, foreign aid in Afghanistan, and the political influence of women during times of war.
