Muhammad Yaseen Zazai

Mr. Muhammad Yaseen Zazai (founder of Hakim Ada Group of Companies) works as a Senior Aid Coordination Specialist at the Aid Management Directorate, Ministry of Finance (MoF). He leads the portfolios of USAID, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway, and the Czech Republic. He has successfully managed all the Official Development Assistance (ODA) coming from all the Donor Agencies at considering its high impact on Afghanistan Development sector.

Mr. Zazai has a Strong Leadership, Program Development, and Implementation skills with extensive experience within government in international donor-funded projects.

Previously, as a Financial Expert, Mr. Zazai was able to lead a mega project (MTP-1) in the history of water supply for AUWSSC (Afghanistan Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Corporations) worth EUR 72.1 million. Also, Mr. Zazai has negotiated and finalized the financing agreements and MoU’s of all the USAID and German mega projects annually worth USD 1 Billion and EUR 450 million accordingly. Chihilsitoon Garden Rehabilitation, Afghanistan Polio Program, North Hospitals Rehabilitation, SEDEP, Shurabak HPP, Kabul Sanitation Master Plan, and Afghanistan High-Security Printing in Jungalak are some of the projects that he has been involved in. He has also been an active member of World Bank and ARTF portfolio coordination team.

Mr. Zazai is a young professional with more than eight years of experience in different governmental and non-governmental organizations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Sarhad University of Science and Information Technology and two graduate degrees from Kardan University: an MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) and an EMEP (Executive Masters in Economics and Policy) from the University of Central Asia (UCA), Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

He represented Afghanistan in 2012 in RICE All Asia Business Plan competition. Besides, he also represented Afghanistan in Asia Debate competition in 2012.

He also has represented the Afghan Government in different international conferences and platforms in different countries.
