40 Under 40 Award Winners

Samira Gawhary

Samira Gawhary is a successful Journalist, a creative artist and a prolific athlete, who currently pursues a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at Kardan University.

As an active youth, Samira has worked with several Civic Associations and well-established organizations. She is a creative artist and possesses good command in drawing, painting, and tailoring. Currently, she works as a presenter, editor, and narrator at Yama Ramin Production. Prior to that, she served as an HR Officer with Afghanistan Jska Shotokan Karate.

Ms. Gawhary has a black belt in karate and fights for the Afghanistan National Karate Team. She participated in several national and international karate competitions and won gold and silver awards.

In fall 2019, Samira secured a place in the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Kabul University by scoring 320 marks in Kankor examination. She is also recognized as an excellent student of AUAF for her outstanding performances.
