Sayed Nazeer Hashimi
Sayed Nazeer Hashimi is a result-driven, techno banker born in 1987. He is a BBA graduate from Kardan University with a specialization in Finance. Currently, Mr. Hashimi is serving as Deputy Chief Information Officer at the Afghan United Bank (AUB), leading a large team of more than 30 people comprising of novices and experts in the field of Information Technology and Banking. A believer in teamwork, Sayed Nazeer Hashimi, has delivered several challenging projects by motivating his younger peers to come forward and take responsibility.
Sayed Nazeer Hashimi has extensive experience of more than 11 years being associated with the country’s banking sector. Starting with FINCA Afghanistan, where he spent more than two years, his major stint was with the Afghan United Bank (AUB), where he successfully managed the roles and responsibilities of the Core Banking Head and Deputy Chief Information Officer.
During his tenure as the Head of Core Banking, Sayed Nazeer Hashimi has successfully delivered three major transformational projects that changed the profile of the bank. These were; implementation of the centralized core banking application FLEXCUBE from Oracle along with Internet Banking and ATM delivery channels, up-gradation of FLEXCUBE core banking and internet banking applications.
Mr. Hashimi has exhibited his acumen in the general banking domain by carrying out essential roles in the areas of Credit Analysis, Branch Management, Commercial Banking, and Credit Risk. He has been a recipient of numerous awards and certificates of appreciation from his current and past employers.
