Nizamuddin Rezahi

Having an MBA from Kardan University, Nizamuddin Rezahi is an HRM Specialist who works with Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH), the most recently established agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), in the capacity of Head of Human Resources for Central Asia. He is one of the few expatriates within AKDN from Afghanistan in a senior leadership position.

He started his professional career during his school years by working as a part-time English language teacher in local learning centers. Mr. Rezahi Nizam completed his undergraduate work in 2012 with a degree in business administration. While attending classes at Rana University, he worked as a Human Resource Officer with French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) from 2009 to 2010 and with MTN Afghanistan from 2011 to 2012 as a Learning and Development Coordinator. Soon after, he attended Kardan University and got his Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2015 while working as Human Resources Manager with Aga Khan Health Service Afghanistan from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, he joined the Ministry of Urban Development and Land (MUDL) as the Human Resources Director at the age of 28, becoming the youngest director in the history of this ministry. Nizam has also served as a Board Member of FOCUS Humanitarian Assistance organization in Afghanistan (2014 to 2015) in a voluntary capacity.

Mr. Rezahi got a CIPD diploma from the UK Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development In 2018, which is a specialized degree in HR Management. He has recently started his Doctorate in Management Sciences with the Indian Institute of Learning Management.

He has participated in different national and international conferences. Recently he was at the Young Diplomats Forum in Brussels, Belgium discussing various global topics at the European Commission, NATO Headquarters.

As a hobby, he likes poetry and enjoys the recitation of Persian poems. He also has calligraphy and carpet weaving skills, which he had acquired at an early age.
