The legal system in Afghanistan is characterized by a complex blend of civil law, Islamic jurisprudence (Sharia), customary law, and international legal obligations. This diversity demands a legal education that is both academically rigorous and contextually relevant. The Faculty of Law provides a robust curriculum that covers core areas such as Constitutional Law, Civil and Criminal Law, Administrative Law, Islamic Law (Fiqh), Human Rights Law, International Law, and Commercial Law. These subjects are carefully selected to ensure that students gain a well-rounded understanding of both national and international legal systems.

What sets the Faculty of Law apart is its commitment to combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Students are given the opportunity to participate in moot courts, legal clinics, mock trials, legal drafting exercises, and internships with public institutions, courts, and non-governmental organizations. These experiences are essential for developing the critical thinking, legal reasoning, research, and advocacy skills required in the legal profession.

Graduates of the Faculty of Law are equipped to pursue diverse and impactful careers across a wide spectrum of fields. These include judiciary roles, legal practice, prosecution, public administration, legal consultancy, teaching, and legal research, as well as positions within international organizations, human rights bodies, and development agencies.
