Kardan University’s CISCO Lab initiated an educational outreach activity in the form of a series of face-to-face and online training sessions on the Network Address Translation (NAT) Protocol for computer science students from different universities on June 26, 2021. The training was successfully completed on July 1, 2021. Mr. Ahmadullah Azizi, Kardan University’s CISCO Lab Officer, delivered the training to more than 135 computer science students from different universities across Afghanistan.
Mr. Azizi provided comprehensive and practical lectures on NAT types, including Dynamic NAT, Static NAT, and Port Address Translation, using CISCO Packet Tracer. This educational event was open to the general public and outreached beyond Kardan University’s campus showing the University’s commitments towards achieving SDG 4: Quality Education.
Ms. Sadia Aslamy, a training participant, mentioned that the training provided her with a great experience of getting familiarized with NAT and its usage. She also thanked Mr. Azizi for preparing these valuable training sessions for the computer science students.
Mr. Nadeem Akhtar, another participant of the NAT training, appreciated Kardan University’s efforts in providing learning opportunities of this kind for computer sciences students. He further stated that the training provided him a deep understanding of the NAT beyond his expectations.
Kardan University has established a well-equipped CISCO Lab, enabling computer science students, especially those studying networking-related subjects, to practice the theories they learn in the class. The lab will ultimately prepare the students for going ahead for CISCO Certifications which have high credibility worldwide.
