Dr. Abdul Moiz Attends the AACSB’s Aspiring Deans Seminar

Kardan University's Faculty of Economics Attends the AACSB’s Aspiring Deans Seminar

Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz Mirzada, Kardan University’s Dean of the Faculty of Economics, participated in the virtual ‘’Aspiring Deans Seminar’’ organized by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) on June 14, 2021.

The lessons for Aspiring Deans Seminar clearly described what a deanship entails, from the rewards to the not so obvious challenges, and how to select the most complementary school environment for deans’ skill set. “The deans got an insider view of what to expect, how to avoid being overwhelmed by the diverse duties, and what is critical in the first 90 days as a new dean,” said Dr. Abdul Moiz Mirzada.

The seminar provided the deans with the necessary tools to navigate the career search process, achieve success, and thrive in the deanship role. It was also discussed that the role of a business school dean could be both challenging and rewarding. Before embarking on this professional journey, the deans will have many unanswered questions that need to be answered before developing the most efficient strategy.
