Mirwais Nahzat, Kardan University’s Chief Operating Officer, and Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 13, 2020, focusing on increased cooperation on job creation, entrepreneurship, and private sector development.
Signing MoUs are aimed to expand the University's collaboration with the national and international organizations focusing on integrating and institutionalizing the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG4: Quality Education and SDG17: Partnership for the Goals in Afghanistan.
Based on this agreement, Kardan University will cooperate with MOIC to facilitate the start, growth, and development of startups in Afghanistan. Kardan University will also cooperate in conducting collaborative research on private sector development, business innovation, start-up development, and international trade with MOIC. In addition, MOIC support Kardan University to provide academic seminars, workshops, internship, and training opportunities to the students of Kardan University.

This agreement is part of Kardan University’s Faculty of Economics emphasis on increased collaboration with national and international partners. The Faculty of Economics at Kardan University seeks to equip students for the dynamic business environment by focusing on market-oriented professional development and being a research partner for public policy development.
