Kardan University's Library Organizes Interuniversity Debate Competition

At the Interuniversity Debate Competition, Conference Hall Taimani Campus

Kardan University's Library organized a round of British Parliamentary style of debate competition on 'Digital Library versus Traditional Library' on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in Conference Hall Taimani Campus.

The University organized this competition to develop the debating culture, reasoning, critical thinking, and public speaking. The program is also used to boost book reading culture and to inspire the young generation by utilizing digital and traditional libraries.

The competition was held among four universities, including Kardan University, American University of Afghanistan (AUAF), Kabul University and Karwan University. Hasina Nasri and Mohammad Idrees Qaderi represented Kardan University, Nekhat Frogh Sadeq and Omid Salehi from AUAF, Hassina Wardak and Mahboob Ull Wafaye from Kabul University, Habib Orya and Nargis Alokozay from Karwan University respectively.

Participating teams had an interesting argument on the pros and cons of the digital library and traditional library. Kardan University team appeared the champion, whereas Kabul University team won the best speaker's awards.
