Journalism Students’ Educational Tour to MOBY Group and TOLO TV

Journalism Students on a Study Tour to TOLO TV

Kardan University’s Journalism and Mass Communication Department students had an educational tour to MOBY Group and TOLO TV on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. Kardan University and MOBY Group jointly organized the tour to help freshmen students gain first-hand experience on how television programs are organized.

To achieve the SDGs, particularly SDG4: Quality Education and SDG17: Partnership for the Goals, the University collaborates with MOBY Group and other sustainable development partners to provide educational tours and training sessions to the students in different stints.

Asif Ghafoori, a faculty member, introduced the production stages of television programs to the students. These stages were pre-production, production, and post-production.

Mr. Najeeb Aseel, Head of Political Programs of TOLO News, introduced multiple parts of TOLO TV, TOLO News, and other production departments of this media to the students. Also, he gave an orientation to the students on different production parts of political, news, and entertainment programs. He further explained one of the television programs from the planning up to the execution and broadcasting process.

“I am thrilled to be part of this study tour, and I have learned a great deal about different stages of TV program production. Attending this tour help me put the theory-based lessons in practice and see how things work in the media environment,” said a Journalism student.

Kardan University consistently endeavors to provide educational tour and practical work opportunities for its students to synchronize their theoretical lessons with more practical vision.
