Kardan University became the signatory to the UN’s Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), a principle-based global engagement platform for academic institutions, and received the membership of UN’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN).

SDSN and PRME are United Nations-supported initiatives established to promote practical problem solving for sustainable development and raising the profile for sustainability in academic institutions around the world.

Kardan University is the only Afghan institution ranked in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking. Being selected among the world’s best universities is a testament to the University’s global academic standards and collective commitment to tackling some of the most pressing development challenges in Afghanistan.

Kardan University has made sustainability one of its most fundamental priorities driven by research, practice, and strategic partnerships. In 2019, Kardan University published its first impact report highlighting the institution’s socio-economic, cultural, and environmental contributions in Afghanistan.
