The Faculty of Economics at Kardan University organized an online seminar on the “Challenges and Opportunities in Education & Technology in the Age of Coronavirus” on Saturday, May 2, 2020, for the students of this faculty.

Dr. Shaker Sarwary, Senior Director of Research and Development at Synopsys, a Silicon Valley-based leader in Electronic Design Automation, USA, delivered the much-anticipated seminar through Zoom. He discussed the opportunities such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Quantum Computing.

Dr. Sarwary also stressed on the importance of technology in the fight against coronavirus. He further encouraged students to use every possible opportunity to obtain more information, which is a valuable commodity of the time.

The session was ended with a Q&A session, during which the Professor provided insightful answers to the questions asked by the faculty members and students, respectively. Overall, students were satisfied with the effectiveness of the online session and appreciated the efforts of Kardan University, in particular the Faculty of Economics, for organizing such sessions during the current quarantine.
