From October 14 to 19, 2018, Mr. Mohammad Haleem Bahadur, Registrar at Kardan University, represented the University at a leadership development program “Leading Globally Engaged Universities” in Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. The event was organized by the International Association of Universities (IAU).
The 6-day program was designed to enable senior leaders from different member universities to engage and exchange ideas and experiences in order to gain insights and inspiration and build new networks aimed at responding to the challenges and changes impacting higher education systems and individual universities worldwide.
The program also provided an opportunity for higher education leaders to have an international outlook and engage in peer-to-peer learning and idea sharing in a distinctive, internationally-oriented manner.
The IAU is a global body of more than 650 educational institutions from 130 countries from around the world. It was established in 1950 with the aim of providing international universities a platform for exchange of ideas and experiences through organizing international conferences, seminars, exhibitions and symposia in different parts of the world. Kardan University acquired IAU’s membership in 2017.
