Senior Civil Engineer

Omidullah Barakzai

Omidullah Barakzai holds an Associate Degree in Construction Engineering from Afghanistan Technical & Vocational Institute (ATVI), and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kardan University (2013).

Mr. Barakzai is a Civil Engineer with over nine years of extensive experience in structural engineering and construction project management and has worked with different national and international organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, COGECO Asia Consultancy Services, and UNDP.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, Mr. Barakzai served with ELCT Project of UNDP at the Independent Election Commission of Afghanistan. He contributed to the successful implementation of projects to support the infrastructural development missions toward the improvement of Education, Electoral and Health services across Afghanistan.

Mr. Barakzai is a recipient of the Young Professional Engineer Award from ISD/MoE (2013), a member of Afghanistan Civil Society, and a Program Coordinator at Afghanistan Youth Education.
