HM Queen Scholar and Researcher with UN-Habitat

Ahmad Rashid Khoshbeen

Ahmad Rashid Khoshbeen graduated from the BCE Department of Kardan University in 2015 with a 3.91 CGPA. He is the recipient of HM Queen of Thailand Scholarship to pursue his master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and Management at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok, Thailand.

Currently, he works on developing an Integrated Solid Waste Management approach for Kabul city as part of his master’s thesis in collaboration with UN-Habitat and Directorate of Sanitation of Kabul Municipality.

Mr. Khoshbeen has shown excellent leadership quality and management skills. He became the president of the Afghan Student Association at AIT (ASA-AIT) during his master’s studies.

As a passionate character, Mr. Ahmad is motivated to serve his people and country in efforts to eradicate the current environmental problems and help the young generation to strive for a better future.
