Record Manager


Job Summary

Kardan University is seeking a young and energetic Record Manager, who is required to develop and support a culture of high-quality records management practice across the University. Develop, implement, and support systems and practices that facilitate compliance with the policies of the university and regulations of the MOHE. Reporting to the Registrar of the university, the Record Manager has to perform the following duties and responsibilities:.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the record office team to achieve the objectives set for the department.
  • Oversee the management of electronic and/or paper-based information;
  • Identify the most appropriate records management resources;
  • Design and develop filing systems
  • Track the filing system of regular and freezing students. 
  • Manage the changeover from paper to electronic records management systems;
  • Respond to information inquiries, giving appropriate access to information;
  • Ensure compliance with the University’s regulations and government legislation regarding record keeping;
  • Facilitate in migration of students from other institutes to Kardan University.
  • Responsible for updating student records in the Ministry of Higher Education.
  • Inform all bachelor and master students about updated news from the Ministry of Higher Education, Afghanistan.
  • Work closely with Examination Department, and Admission Manager to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Coordinate students’ documentation and educational affairs with the Ministry of Higher Education
  • To undertake any other duties as appropriate within his/her competence as required by the University Archivist & Records Manager from time to time.
  • Keep an up-to-date record of graduates, freezing and regular students.
  • Respond to students’ queries and maintain good relations with them.
  • Issue final clearance to students at the time of course completion.   
  • Follow the instructions and guidelines given by management from time to time.
     

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or relevant field; 
  • At least three years of relevant experience;
  • Written and verbal proficiency in Dari, Pashtu, and English languages;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through working with reputable national and/or international organizations;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to thrive in team environments;
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiatives in line with Kardan business interests;
  • Ability to work and respond within short delivery timelines;
