Dean Message
In today’s rapidly evolving world, higher education stands as both a fundamental right and a cornerstone for the academic, cultural, social, economic, and political progress of any society. In response to the growing needs of nations, various academic disciplines have emerged—each playing a vital role in shaping the future. Among them, the field of law holds a unique and distinguished place.
The prominence of legal studies is evident in the strong interest shown by students, particularly high school graduates and beyond, who consistently choose to pursue law at Kardan University. This enthusiasm underscores the vital role that legal knowledge plays in the development and regulation of society.
Studying law equips individuals with the ability to draft, interpret, and apply legal principles that govern human interactions. Graduates in this field are entrusted with the responsibility of upholding justice and ensuring social order—an honor and duty that places them in a highly respected and influential position in society.
Law graduates enjoy a broad spectrum of career opportunities across government institutions, including the Judiciary, Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as legal departments of various ministries. Additionally, they are in demand in international organizations, private law firms, and civil society institutions.
At Kardan University, we recognize that legal education must go beyond theory. As the Dean of the Faculty of Law, I strongly believe in integrating practical training into our curriculum. To this end, we have established key facilities such as a Legal Clinic, Moot Court, and a Criminal Justice Laboratory to provide students with real-world experience and hands-on learning opportunities.
Our commitment is to educate and prepare academically competent, professionally skilled, and socially responsible legal experts who will contribute meaningfully to the advancement of Afghanistan’s legal system and its global presence in international legal forums.
We look forward to welcoming you to a transformative educational journey at the Faculty of Law.
With warm regards,
Khawaja Jamshid Siddiqi
Dean, Faculty of Law
