MOCK INTERVIEW WORKSHOP

The Office of Career Services organized one day workshop on Mock Interview. This workshop was designed for students to strengthen and test their interviewing skills by placing them in a mock interview setting.

Upon successful completion of this workshop, the participants were able to:

  • Supplement resume information
  • Show that they understand their strengths and weaknesses and have a sense of direction
  • Enable the employer to evaluate their personality and attitudes in terms of the demands of the organization and the position
  • Allow them to gain information about the organization and the job that is not available through other sources

TRAINING WORKSHOP ON JOB READINESS SKILLS

A 2 day training workshop on Job Readiness Skills held at MBA Campus of Kardan University where many students participated from various faculties. During the training workshop students were familiarized with some useful tips which included a range of skills and concepts that every job seeker needs to learn about before they embark on their professional career.

WORKSHOP ON JOB SEARCH

Office of Career Services organized one-day workshop on Job Search to assist students who did not know how or where to look for jobs and how to present their qualifications effectively to employers and recruiters. During the workshop we helped students that how to access the hidden job market, how to impress potential employers and recruiters, how to make connections in their field and successfully land a position that meets their needs and the various sources of job leads. Job seekers learned how to analyze and resolve their own particular unemployment problems.

After the successful completion of this workshop, the participants were able to:

  • Develop the skills needed, to find employment asquickly as possible
  • Identify their skills
  • Complete online job application forms
  • Research local employers and the job market throughonline job portals.

CV & COVER LETTER PREPARATION CLINIC

Office of Career Services organized one day CV & Cover Letter Preparation Clinic to assist students how to standardize their CV and Cover Letter in order to better prepare them for job market. During the preparation clinic students were familiarized with some useful tips which included a range of skills and concepts that every job seeker needs to learn about before they embark on their professional career.

TRAINING WORKSHOP ON RESUME WRITING

The Office of Career Services organized one day training workshop aiming at helping students to write an effective and standard resume.

This course helped students to write professional and standard resume and learned to develop resumes on their own. The main focus of this training workshop was that how to condense years of experience into a compelling marketing document, address resume gaps and job hops, and choose the right format for the final document.

It was also explained that how the hiring process works (from the perspective of both the resume scanning software and the human reviewer), so that when the candidates would apply for that incredible new job, they would have a real shot at landing an interview.

More than 100 students participated in this workshop which created an encouraging and motivational climate for the trainers to deliver the training sessions in a positive manner.

The Office of Career Services organized one day training workshop aiming at helping students to improve their presentation skills in education. The training included a range of effective presentation skills which helped them to keep a presentation interesting, communicate with confidence, and motivate the audience to listen. In this workshop more than 40 students from various faculties participated.

Some essential presentation skills core objectives were:

  • Strategies for preparing effective Oral Presentation
  • Strategies for Effective Oral Delivery
  • Strategies for becoming a better public speaker.
  • Important Body languages and its effectiveness
  • Strategies for calming nerves.
