Kardan University’s Quality Assurance Coordinator Participates in an Internship with Malaysian Qualification Agency

From February 4 to 8, 2019, Kardan University’s Coordinator for Quality Assurance, Mr. Waheedullah Afghan participated at the Annual Internship Program for Quality Assurance Officials which was organized by Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The purpose of the trip was to have a firsthand experience of the Quality Assurance practices at different public and private universities in Malaysia, as well as learn from the experiences of other participants of the program who had come from the Philippines, Tonga and Malaysia itself.

During the program Mr. Afghan had the opportunity to hold discussions and explore opportunities of future collaborations with top officials of Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA) as well as representatives from Quality Assurance Agencies of Tonga and the Philippines.

Program participants visited two public and two private Malaysian universities and examined the Quality Assurance practices in place in these institutions and how these practices can be replicated here at their home universities. They were briefed about various aspects of quality assurance including MQA Framework, processes, procedures, selection and management of assessors and institutional audit.
