On December 24, 2018, the MBA Department organized a one day seminar on ‘Credit Risk Management’ in banking sector of Afghanistan. The presenter was Mr. Ahmad Khesrow Zia who delivered an engaging and fruitful session. Mr. Zia is the former President and CEO of Pashtany Bank and has served at senior positions in Da Afghanistan Bank and several other well-known banks and financial institutions.

Mr. Zia highlighted the main areas of credit department in a bank along with potential challenges for banks in Afghanistan – in the areas of credit management. Detailed process of credit management was discussed with practical examples from the banking environment of Afghanistan.

The audience, who were MBA students of 'Financial Risk Management', got a practical insight in to the credit and recovery activities of banking sector and learned about how to identify, mitigate and avoid credit risks in a bank environment.
