Kardan University undertook an educational outreach activity to provide a week-long capacity building training on the "Project Management" to Afghanistan Cricket Board's (ACB) 24 employees from June 5 to June 10, 2021, at the Afghanistan Cricket Board facility, Kabul City. Mr. Mohammad Samim Sadeed, Kardan University's International Affairs and Strategic Partnerships Office Manager, organized the training.
The training focused on providing the essentials of project management topics, including project lifecycle, sustainability, constraints, scope triangle, characteristics, stakeholders, and other important topics.
"I am excited to express that despite all the existing challenges, Kardan University as an academic partner of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, could successfully deliver this capacity-building training on Project Management to the ACB employees. Kardan University understands that a skills gap exists within the workforce of Afghanistan, and there is a need to collaborate with the national and international organizations to tackle this issue and the launch of this capacity-building training to ACB employees is solid evidence of our commitment to addressing challenges in our society" said Mohammad Samim Sadeed, Manager, International Affairs & Strategic Partnerships.

The training had a great positive impact on us, as it motivated and inspired us never to stop learning and keep developing our knowledge, capacity, and skills," said Mr. Hamid Rahidi, Admin & Acting HR Manager at the ACB.
Kardan University, as a Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) pioneer in the higher education sector in Afghanistan to do its part in terms of organizing educational outreach activities beyond the university campus to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education.
On the last day of the training, Kardan University's Office of International Affairs & Strategic Partnerships issued certificates for this training participants. In addition, the ACB gave an appreciation certificate and a jersey of Mohammad Nabi, Afghanistan's national cricket player, to Mr. Mohammad Nabi Nayeel, Assistant Professor for the Department of Business Administration, who delivered this training.
