New SDGs Youth Ambassadors Join an Information Session on United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

As part of Kardan University's commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Office of Student Involvement and Success conducted an information session for the SDGs Youth Ambassadors Club's new members on April 24, 2021, at the Kardan School of Graduate Studies to orient them about UN SDGs, the club's activities, and the identification of feasible solutions for the problems in the society.

"New ambassadors now will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership & conflict resolution skills, find out career and internship opportunities, and represent Kardan University at various national and international competitions related to the SDGs," said Shams Formuly Kardan University's Sustainability Engagement Coordinator.

This session will further help new ambassadors know about Kardan University's SDGs Youth Ambassadors club's functions and the University's commitments towards achieving SDGs in Afghanistan. SDGs Youth Ambassadors Club provides fantastic opportunities for Kardan University students to gain practical leadership skills by designing, planning, and implementing sustainability projects/activities to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The club activities are designed in a way to advance Kardan University's sustainability agenda with a focus on reducing poverty (SDG 1), promoting quality education (SDG 4), improving Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and building partnership with all of the 17 SDGs (SDG 17) at the university level and beyond the University.
