From September 27 to 29, 2018, Dean, Faculty of Economics, Mr. Abdul Moiz Mirzada, attended the (2018 ACBSP Access Accreditation Workshop) in Charlotte, North Carolina in the United States of America. The intensive three-day seminar covered the standards and criteria set for accreditation of institutions by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
At the event, Mr. Mirzada represented Kardan University, which is seeking reaffirmation of its MBA program accreditation by ACBSP. The program included presentations by ACBSP accreditation staff and some of the existing ACBSP members with accredited business programs who have developed best practices for each standard.
The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs which was founded in 1989, was created with the purpose of establishing an accreditation body for institutions offering Business Administration programs. After acquiring its own accreditation from the US Department of Education, it was accredited by the international Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Today, ACBSP has accredited more than 8000 business institutions worldwide and more than 13000 educational entities are its members.
