The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan organized the First National Innovation and Science Exhibition on December 29, 2019, in which more than 50 projects were presented by universities from all over Afghanistan.
A panel of professional judges evaluated the projects presented at MCIT in which Kardan University presented four innovative projects. The results were revealed on 31st December in a grand event held in Kabul Serena Hotel. Kardan University was able to secure the 2nd position by presenting the First Programming Language in Afghanistan, developed and designed by BCS students Mr. Milad Akbari.
“We observed new amateur programmers being unable to learn how to code. Pascal was introduced to solve the problem, but we brought novelty to a new programming language with a new design of the JIS compiler. We considered pseudo standards, and at the same time, we designed virtual programmers to help a developer debug the code”, said Milad Akbar, after receiving the award.
Dr. Amirzada Ahmadzai, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, said in his remarks, “I appreciate the hard work of Milad Akbari, Kardan University’s Innovation Lab and all students who strive to make Kardan University proud by showcasing their great talents. I congratulate Kardan University’s students and faculty members for this great achievement.”
