Information Session Held on the Fulbright Student Program

The Office of Gender and Alumni Relations at Kardan University, in collaboration with Kabul Educational Advising Center (KEAC), organized a one-day information session on how to prepare for the Fulbright US Student program, on February 5, 2020.

The session was concentrated around the program overview and the application process. It helped the participating students to learn about the principle requirements and how to maximize their chances of winning an award. The participants included alumni and last semester students of all programs.

The session was conducted by Mr. Khalid Karyab, a Fulbright scholar who is currently working as USA Education Advisor at KEAC. During his presentation, he shared his success story and the struggle he had while getting the Fulbright scholarship.

“We truly appreciate Kardan University’s efforts for organizing such informative sessions where we can learn from the experiences of scholars and prepare ourselves for such a prestigious scholarship,” said a participating student.

Towards the end, students had a Q&A session in which Mr. Karyab answered their questions. KEAC team also appreciated Kardan University’s academic and welcoming environment and expressed willingness to organize more such sessions in the future.
