Seminar on Competitive Advantages for the New Economy

Faculty of Economics at Kardan University organized a guest speaker session on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, for MBA students of the third semester. The students heard a foreign guest lecturer in their graduate economics class. Mr. Ryan Corbett, president of Bloom Afghanistan Consulting Service, spoke on the topic, (Competitive Advantages for the New Economy: The Four Differentiators which Matter Most Today.) Bloom Afghanistan is a start-up and small business coaching service based in Kabul.

Kardan University has partnered with Bloom Afghanistan in the past to train entrepreneurs in practical skills for launching successful businesses through a program hosted at Kardan University and both organizations hope to continue the partnership around their shared goals.

In recognition of Bloom Afghanistan’s contributions, Mr. Corbett was presented with a certificate of appreciation. According to Corbett, the important differentiators of today are as follow:

1) Constant Innovation
2) Extraordinary Customer Service
3) Custom Experiences
4) A Positive Mission

Graduate students interacted with these factors and considered their application in modern Afghanistan. The lecture was followed by a question and answer session.

(It excites me to see men and women of various fields furthering their education alongside full-time jobs) remarked Corbett. He further added (Congratulations to Kardan University for leading the way in quality business and economic education with relevance for Afghanistan. When the internationally proven principles of business meet the determination and the natural business sense of the Afghan people, this economy will really go places.)

Faculty of Economics at Kardan University always strives to organize such seminars in order to build capacity, and improve students’ entrepreneurial skills.
