Kardan University's Office of Student Involvement & Success organized a live session open to the general public through Kardan University's official Facebook page on the Impact of students' clubs in enhancing students' academic and professional capacity. The event was hosted by Mr. Rohullah Hassanyar, Student Involvement & Success Officer. The guests were Ahmad Shabir Safi, Representative of the Photography Club and the student of Bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communications program, and Abdullah Wahidi, Representative of Entrepreneurship Club and the student of Bachelor's in Business Administration program. The various number of viewers watched the live session. The event recording is available on the Kardan University's official Facebook page for those who missed the live session.    

Kardan University, as the leading University for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Afghanistan, aims to deliver free educational resources to the general public to do its part in the community, which reflects our contribution towards SDG 4: Quality Education.  

At the beginning of the session, Mr. Hassanyar talked about the advantages of being in these clubs for students, from learning about their strengths and weaknesses to building general skills like teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.     

During the session, Mr. Safi mentioned the activities of the Photography Club. These activities include but are not limited to practical works, organizing training, and workshops to improve students' photography skills. The Photography Club plans to host photography exhibitions and competitions.   

Mr. Wahidi talked about the activities of the Entrepreneurship Club. These activities consist of but are not limited to educational excursions, business seminars to have a dialogue about problems and issues with starting a business in Afghanistan, and business competitions.    

They talked about their motivations behind joining their respective clubs. Mr. Safi mentioned that he wants to show Afghanistan to the world from a positive angle through his photography, and Mr. Wahidi said that through Entrepreneurship Club, he wants to gain practical and inside knowledge of Afghanistan's business market to create his own business.   

In the end, Mr. Safi and Mr. Wahidi encouraged other youths and students to work hard, chase their dreams, and invite them to join a club of their interests.   

To enhance the academic and professional capacity of students, Kardan University has created various student clubs, which includes: Emerging Leaders Program, Engineering Club, Debate Club, SDGs Youth Ambassadors Club, VIS Moot Club, Political Science Club, Computer Science Club, Virtual Book-Reading Club, Student Volunteers Club, The Philip C. Jessup Team, Journalism Club, Football Club, Cricket Club, Volleyball Club, Chess Club, Basketball Club, Poetry Club, Photography Club, and Entrepreneurship Club.
