40 Under 40 Award Winners

Mahdi Noor

Mahdi Noor is currently a postgraduate student at the “National Superior School of Energy, Water, and Environment (ENSE3)” of Grenoble Institute of Technology, France. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Hydraulic and Civil Engineering in the aforementioned engineering school. Concurrently, he is a junior researcher in the IGE (Institut des Géosciences de l’Environnement), a cluster of France’s “CNRS” (Centre national de la recherche Scientifique).

Mr. Noor had been selected as a youth delegation in UN-Geneva Ministerial Conference for Afghanistan (2018). He had been a merit scholarship holder throughout his entire academic journey at Kardan University and had completed his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at Kardan University in 2017.

His outstanding academic performances help him to become the recipient of the gold medal for excellence from Kardan University. Finally, as a ramification of the abovementioned points, he had been awarded the French Government Scholarship “BGF” in 2018.

Mr. Noor has the experience of working as a civil engineer with private and public companies. He is also a graduate member of “ICE” (Institution of Civil Engineers - UK). His academic areas of interest are Hydrology, Climate Change, Atmospheric Sciences, and “Multi-scaled climatologic & hydrologic modeling.” His hobbies include Reading, Football, Hiking, and Chess.
