Behzad Salam

Behzad Salam has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Salam University. He started his career with a USAID project, called CoAR, as Admin/HR officer in 2007. Behzad has worked for different national and international organizations and established his own company in 2014 through which he implemented large-scale construction projects, such as Khwaja Rawash, six-story buildings, and more.

Previously, Behzad has worked as Coordination Unit Head, Special Assistant to Head of AOP. In this capacity, he assisted DEPCS/AOP teams with improving project management capacity of Ministries and HR projects. He also played a crucial role in the Tashwiq Program and Qala Project that registers government properties, builds properties database, trains government employees, and develops economic plans for vacant properties.

Currently, Behzad works as Deputy Director of National Economy and Infrastructure Directorate of Administrative Office of the President. Besides his official carrier, he works with the Anti-Discrimination research Center of Afghanistan as Head of the Fundraising Department.
