Mohammad Jahid

Jahid is an experienced Public Policy Expert with extensive academic public policy research in Germany and Afghanistan. He has a 13 year experience working on development programs and has been advising at the ministerial level for the past ten years, including the Ministry of Interior on DFID Strategic Support to the Ministry of Interior (SSMI), Ehsan Zia – former Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), Wais Barmak – Former Minister of MRRD, Noor Ul Haq Olomi – Minister of Interior, Attiqullah Khawasi – MRRD Deputy Minister for Administration on Strategic Human Resource Management. After master’s in public policy he established a network of Afghan men and women and founded the Gender Equality and Development Organization (GEDO) e.V.

Jahid has worked as Director of Human Resources in the National Area-Based Development Program NABDP/UNDP. During his tenure he secured recruitment of more than 900 employees throughout Afghanistan.

Working through GEDO, he has some volunteer work for the Interior Ministry and has been able to further develop policy, human rights and anti-corruption system. He has worked in close coordination with Resolute Support (RS) mission in Afghanistan and European Union Police Mission in Afghanistan (EUPOL) in the development of these policies and implementation plans for these policies.
