A short term training program on techniques and methods for undertaking effective research. The session will be very valuable for all those graduate and undergraduate students who are preparing for their thesis research and development.
The session will be delivered by, Mohammad Hashim Pashtun who is currently a Ph.D Candidate (Civil Engineering) at Ohio University, USA. He is also working as Research Engineer with Ohio Research Institute for Transportation & Environment (ORITE).
Mr. Pashtun has served as President of International Students Union at Ohio University, and before that as Chief Justice at Ohio University’s Student Senate. With a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from India Mr. Pashtun has worked as Mentoring Coach at Career & Aptitude Training (CAT) Center, India. He has been awarded the Best Student of the Year in Pune University, India. He was conferred as Mr. University 2010 as well as Mr. Pune the next year.
In Kabul, he has taught as a Lecturer at Kardan University’s Civil Engineering Department.
At Ohio University, he was awarded as “Graduate Student Leader of the Year - 2015” among 4000 Master’s & Ph.D students and “Best International Student of the Year - 2016” among 2,500 International students from over 110 countries and recently as “Doctoral Student of the Year - 2017”. For his services as a student leader, he has been honored as “Senator Emeritus” at Ohio University.
Mr. Hashim Pashtun has participated as a Delegate and Speaker at various National and International Seminars and Conferences. He has presented several research papers on Socio-Economic, Infrastructure, Urban and Environmental Issues. His Research paper on Copper mining in Afghanistan won 1st rank among 400 presenters at Ohio University’s Research expo.
