40 Under 40 Award Winners

Mitra Asghari

Just 18 years of age, Mitra Asghari is an energetic young activist who has been active in youth and women empowerment initiatives through HELA organization for the past two years. She has taken art classes at Ghulam Muhammad Maimanagi art school and learned sketching, painting and mandala arts there.

Currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Law at Kardan University, she has attended several Model UN conferences and represented Afghanistan at the Thimun, Qatar Model UN event. She has also organized two monthly mini MUN conferences for the HELA organization.
Mitra is also an avid Rugby player.
