Finance and Budget Officer, UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)

Mohammad Hamid

A BBA graduate from Kardan University in 2010, in 2011 Mohammad Hamid qualified for the prestigious Fulbright scholarship to do his Master’s in Business Administration in Willamette University in the United States. Since May 2014, he has worked as Finance and Budget Officer at UN-OCHA, where he is managing the financial management of more than 120 humanitarian projects implemented by UN-OCHA’s partner NGOs with an annual value of US $ 50 million.

Previously, he was the Managing Director of Marefat Institute, a private English and Computer center with more than 600 students. He is leading the financial aspect of the UN Afghanistan Humanitarian Pooled Fund for implementing partners (national and international NGOs and some UN agencies). He is the national staff representative in his office and has been assigned to support the fund in New York and Iraq offices.
