MBA, Trade Commissioner, Canadian Embassy in Afghanistan

Sayed Gheyasuddin Saadat

Sayed Gheyasuddin is currently the Trade Commissioner for the Embassy of Canada in Afghanistan and also serves as Committee Chair- elect for the locally engaged staff working at the Embassy.

Besides his full-time job, he also served as an International Mentor for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), based in Japan, where he provided mentoring to UNITAR’s Annual Fellowship; a Premier international training program on Project Management and Leadership, for high ranking Afghan Officials for three years.

Gheyas was awarded a Gold Medal and several Recognition Awards for his role at UNITAR and the significant contributions in the two signature Fellowships offered in Afghanistan and South Sudan.
His professional experience includes Program Officer and Logistics Officer for a $365 Million USAID funded secondary and District Center Roads Program in five regions of Afghanistan with United Nations Office for Projects and Services (UNOPS) from 2005 to 2008.

He has graduated as the topper of MBA from Kardan University in 2015 and also holds a Diploma Certificate (25 credit) in Policy Analysis from University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan.
