Farzad Mushfiq

A recent BCS graduate from Kardan University, Farzad is the President/CEO of World Merit Afghanistan, which is headquartered in UK and has more than 500 active members in Afghanistan. World Merit is a global community of millennials, taking action to make a positive difference both locally and across the world. Together with the United Nations, World Merit focuses on tackling the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to end extreme poverty, fix climate change and get rid of inequality.

Farzad has organized several World Merit events in Afghanistan especially in Kabul to make positive impacts. He has inspired students from Kardan University to join World Merit Afghanistan, and now five out of six Executive Committee members of World Merit Afghanistan are the students of Kardan University.

Farzad has been selected to represent Afghanistan and Kardan University in a prestigious program called Merit360 which is a two week program designed to gather 360 global citizens to tackle United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at United Nations Headquarters in New York, in September 2016. He has been selected out of 6000 applications for Merit360.
